Training frequency is a way to distribute enough useful work across a week while keeping sessions practical and recoverable.
Three gym days can train a muscle three times with full-body sessions. Four gym days can train it twice with an upper/lower split. Gym visits and muscle-training frequency are separate programming decisions.
